About this course

Students in the Certificate IV of Education Support learn how to work alongside a teacher in a range of educational settings to guide and facilitate learning in that context. Learners will develop the skills needed to support students in literacy and numeracy, and to work with students with a specific learning need or disability. Students will be provided with hands-on experience through practical placement that will enhance understanding and employability.

Course structure

To be awarded this qualification, students need to complete 17 units, including 12 core and 5 electives. Delivery will be a combination of on-campus classroom learning and work placement in an educational setting. This model enables students to engage in real learning situations and transfer knowledge into skills.
