About this course

The Diploma of Digital and Interactive Games is suitable for those who want to learn the skills required to develop interactive content for games.
 

This course focuses on the development of general skills in concept art, digital painting, 3D modelling, level design, particle and effects creation, texture creation, 3D rigging, 3D animation, and visual node-based programming. You will also learn how to build and maintain a portfolio, work within a project team, develop an art pipeline, and produce high quality documentation.
 

As part of the course, students will have the opportunity to directly engage with the local industry, as well as showcase group projects at PAX Australia.
 

Upon completion, graduates will have a greater understanding of the game development industry both here and abroad, and possess the practical skills required to develop games and game ready content using the latest technologies.

Graduates of this course will possess a general knowledge and practical skills in: game development and production, documentation, problem solving, logic programming, 3D modelling, 3D Rigging, texture art, digital animation, digital illustration, effects design, and task management.

Course structure

Students are required to complete 16 units, five core units and 11 elective units.
