Then this might be the opportunity you have been looking for.

Working on farms in Gippsland can offer a wide variety of daily job experiences, from tractor and machinery operation to building farm fences and animal and land care.
This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in agriculture, enabling you to study a selection of generalist units in livestock, agronomy and practical farm skills. Whether you're looking to start a career in the food and fibre industry or already working in the sector and wish to fine tune your skills and knowledge, this course will ensure you're conducting tasks in your workplace safely.

Upon successful completion of AHC20122 Certificate II in Agriculture, students will have gained skills and knowledge to seek employment in the agriculture industry. Common job roles for certificate II level employees include but are not limited to:
Assistant animal attendant/stockperson
Assistant farm or station hand/worker/labourer
Assistant farm fencing contractor
Farm machinery worker
Jillaroo/Jackaroo
Saleyard livestock worker
Depending on the units selected individuals can be employed not only in agriculture but also other rural and regional sectors.






Academic Pathways may include but not be limited to:
AHC30122 Certificate III in Agriculture
AHC30221 Certificate III in Dairy Production
Both of these qualifications are offered at TAFE Gippsland.


Practical skills and knowledge surrounding workplace safety and professional relationship, animal health & welfare, agricultural machinery such as tractors and attached equipment, pest plant and animals, farm chemical safety and use, plants and soils
