Offered as an apprenticeship for those working or looking to work in the agricultural industry, you will learn how to service and repair faults on agricultural engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes, hydraulic systems and electrical systems and components.
The model of day release is available to apprentices who are currently employed in the automotive industry to attend a TAFE Gippsland campus one day per week.
A Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology provides the training you need to work with heavy vehicle agricultural equipment.
Not only will gain the skills and knowledge to competently carry out service, repair and diagnostic procedures, but you'll also learn how to apply safe work practices, carry out servicing operations and develop knowledge of diagnostic procedures.
Employment in Agricultural mechanical workshops, farm workshops and or dealerships as a qualified Agricultural mechanical technician.
Certificate III, IV or Diploma in the automotive industry.
This qualification is made up of 36 units of competency which covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of service and repair tasks within the agricultural industry.
