Certificate IV in Horticulture
Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management
This course involves hands on learning, both outdoor and indoor and enables students to develop and practice skills including teamwork, work under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work and use discretion and judgement in the selection and use of available resources.
You will gain knowledge and skills in:
- Preparation, use and transport of chemicals
- Identifying native and introduced flora and control weeds
- Methods for controlling pest animals
- Sampling and testing of water
- Site inspections and navigation skills
- Revegetation techniques and maintaining natural areas
- Using photography for monitoring and recording information, safe machinery operations.
