This entry-level course provides the minimum qualification necessary in Australia to train and assess nationally accredited courses in vocational education and training (VET).
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will have the credential necessary to seek a career training and assessing others in your area of vocational experience and expertise. The program is designed for the entry-level cohort, new to training at any level. Delivered using a blend of both face-to-face and online, you'll engage with your vocational industry throughout the course to deliver training and assessment.

Gain theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialised and/or skilled work as a trainer/assessor. This course can also lead to further learning pathways.

After achieving TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, candidates may undertake the:
TAE50122 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
In addition, successful candidates are guaranteed entry into an Associate Degree of Vocational Education and Training with Federation University with 8 subject credit points


The skills gained in this course include the ability to deliver training using various methods including: presenting to a group, use of whiteboards, computers, overhead projectors, microphones and technology for online delivery.
The knowledge gained includes how to plan assessments, assess competence, validate assessments, design and develop learning programs, use training packages and accredited courses and how to address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills to reasonably adjust material for different cohorts of learners.
