By completing a Diploma of Beauty Therapy you will gain the skills and experience to be able to work within the industry as a Beauty Therapist.
You'll learn the skills and knowledge to provide a broad range of beauty therapy treatments and services, including facial and specialised facial treatments, body massage, spa treatments, waxing services, lash and brow treatments, nail and make-up services.
This course will also teach you how to consult with clients to provide beauty advice, recommend beauty treatments and services, and sell retail skincare and cosmetic products.
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy, the list of opportunities are endless. From working in local spas and salons, owning your own business or even travelling the world working in destination spas, we can give you the skills you need to set yourself up for exciting career opportunities- whichever way you choose to take it!
You'll also be eligible to take your career even further by studying a Advanced Diploma of Skin Therapy (not offered at TAFE Gippsland) a Bachelor of Dermal Sciences (not offered at TAFE Gippsland), or a Bachelor of Health Science (not offered at TAFE Gippsland). These courses will enhance your employment opportunities and help create even more career possibilities.

Anatomy and Physiology of the Skin and Body
Students will also gain knowledge of the Beauty Industry and Products along with customer service, retail skills and reception skills.
