This comprehensive qualification in civil construction design provides you with the skills and knowledge to work on projects ranging from residential and industrial buildings to intricate road designs, and expand your study of the design and construction of civil works such as structures and pipe networks.
This course covers a range of engineering specialties to extend your knowledge so that you can plan, design, develop and manage construction, and repair projects relating to these disciplines.
During your studies you will learn several engineering drafting standards and receive exposure to computer aided design (CAD) programs selected from AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Microsoft Project.
Gain skills in applying construction principles to civil construction works, produce advanced engineering designs and drawings, and learn structural analysis.
After completing this course you can continue your education at university, or as a senior civil works designer or paraprofessional designer.
An IELTS score (academic) of 6.0 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.
Completion of RII50520 Diploma of Civil Construction Design is required for entry into this course.

To achieve this qualification, students must demonstrate competency in 12 units. These 12 are comprised of 5 core units and 7 elective units. Elective units listed below have been selected in consultation with industry.
Students who enrol into this qualification will be eligible for credit transfer of the units that they have already achieved. Fees paid by international students are set on a commercial basis and are paid as a whole of course fee - no refund will apply to credit transfers.
