About this course

Master the latest techniques in building design when you upskill or reskill in the use of 2D AutoCAD.

This course is designed for existing or prospective employees in the building design, drafting and engineering drafting fields who are looking to upskill or reskill in the use of 2D AutoCAD.

The course covers the skills and knowledge required for a draftsperson to produce working drawings in a building design CAD work environment and will give you practical experience in producing 2D drawings for building design projects using CAD software.

Throughout the course, you'll have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with customising the user interface and refining and developing your 2D drawing techniques by focusing on scaling and dimensioning in multiple viewpoints, analysing geometry, inserting and creating blocks, tolerancing and working with multiple layouts.

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed.
