This preparatory course covers many aspects of the Civil Construction and Mining industries and is a perfect starting point for a career in these areas.

In this course, you will gain a wide range of entry-level practical skills using most of the tools and equipment used in the Civil Construction and Mining industries. You'll learn how to use hand and power tools, as well as how to isolate and access plant.

The course also covers topics such as how to identify and assess environmental and heritage concerns, and how to conduct local risk control. You'll also learn how to work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures and provide first aid on a work site.
