If you like to keep fit and healthy and enjoy helping others achieve their goals, you might be interested in getting qualified to work in the Fitness industry as an Instructor.
This course will provide you with the skills you need to work with clients at a fitness, leisure or community centre, and conduct group activities such as aerobic classes and gym instructing.
You'll learn how to incorporate anatomy and physiology principles into fitness programming and how to instruct a fitness program for a range of different groups and demographics, including older clients. You'll also learn how to work effectively in sport, fitness and recreation environments, provide health screening and fitness orientation to clients and maintain equipment for activities.
This course also provides the opportunity for you to get hands-on experience working in industry with a 30-hour industry-based work placement included in this program.
On successful completion of this course, you will be prepared to undertake employment as a Group Exercise Instructor/Gym Instructor in a range of fitness, leisure or community centres.
