Make a difference to someone else's quality of life and gain the skills and knowledge you need to start or further your career in Aged Care.
You will learn how to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing. You will learn how to follow safe work practices including infection control and how to support independence and wellbeing. You will learn about how to support people experiencing dementia, and best practice approaches and models that influence aged care work.
You will be required to participate in at least 120 hours of work placement to achieve the qualification.
This course is mixed mode, a combination of online and on campus delivery. Attendance on campus will be required as part of this course.
On successful completion of this qualification, you will have the skills to undertake a number of entry-level roles in Aged Care, Home and Community Care or other community and health related fields.
*If you are already employed in the Aged Care industry, you may be interested in undertaking this course through an Australian Apprenticeship.

All applicants will be required to complete a *Basic Key Skills Builder (bksb) task. To ensure your Writing and Mathematic skills meet the required level (exit L2 working towards L3).
