About this course

Have you got a head for heights? Equip yourself with the skills and knowledge you need to elevate your Plumbing career.

This nationally recognised qualification will teach you the skills you need as Roof Plumber to install roof drainage components, roof sheeting, wall cladding, non-metallic roof materials and insulation for a roof.

In this course, our experienced teachers will help guide you through areas such as working safely at heights, reading plans and calculating plumbing quantities, and installing roof coverings, as well as selecting and installing roof sheeting and wall cladding, marking out materials and carrying out WHS requirements in the plumbing context. You will also gain valuable hands-on experience by learning how to install fascias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping, flashings and wall cladding.

On successful completion of this course, you will have the skills you need to begin your career as a Roof Plumber, and you will be able to apply for a practitioners licence so that you can operate as a licensed Roof Plumber within Tasmania.

This course is only available as an Australian Apprenticeship. You must have employment as an apprentice to enrol in this qualification.
