About this course

Initial Literacy and Numeracy skill set

This FREE foundation skill set is designed for students who are preparing to enter a Certificate 1 level course and/or students who want to review basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills. This course will help you develop the foundation skills and knowledge you need to begin to confidently speak, read and write and use everyday maths.

You can enrol in this course at any time throughout the year. Your teacher will work with you closely and determine when you are ready to undertake your assessments to move into a more challenging course of study. Assessment will be at different times for different people.

If you are looking to get started at TasTAFE and need your skills and confidence to increase before moving into a Certificate I or vocational course, this is the place to be.
