Learn the key concepts and design principles used by stylists.

Styling is a fast-growing industry that provides a career that is both creative and dynamic. Styling can be applied to set styling, photographic styling and interior styling.

This fully online course will provide the knowledge and design principles to embark on a rewarding career. If you're wanting to style your home, are looking for a first step into interior decoration, are working in an affiliated industry or are employed as retail professional, then this course is for you.

In this course you will:

  • Understand the role, processes and services offered by a stylist
  • Create interior vignettes
  • Learn how to determine a client's requirements
  • Understand space planning fundamentals
  • Develop an understanding of the elements of design: colour, pattern, form and texture
  • Prepare a concept board
  • Learn the importance of utilising the design process
  • Communicate a concept from brief to presentation to a client

The course is delivered online over 6 weeks (3 hours a week: a 1.5 hour virtual workshop on a topic and 1.5 hours of learning activities assisted by the teacher).

On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attendance.
