The course provides performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to source and use current and emerging information on the tourism and travel industry. You will learn the skills to access and update a customer's information, provide the customer with information and seek feedback on services provided. The course also covers the knowledge required to incorporate safe work practices into workplaces, such as following procedures for emergency situations and participate in the workplace WHS practices.
This skill set provides a pathway to work in many tourism sectors and for a diversity of employers including tour operators, inbound tour operators, visitor information centres, attractions, cultural and heritage sites, and any small tourism business. On successful completion of this skill set, you will be able to seek employment in roles that provide customer service and involves the planning and coordination of tourism services, or roles in the field where products/experiences are delivered.
This course is delivered over a 3-week period and involves online learning as well as 10 days of practical activities on campus.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed.
There are no essential entry requirements for this course.
