The Gordon is licensed to deliver the Licensee First Step program by William Angliss Institute who is accredited by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR).

What does it cover?

This course covers the training stipulated by the VCGLR before issuing new liquor licenses or transferring existing licenses. It covers the following topics:

  • Liquor laws in Victoria
  • The objective of the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998
  • Industry stakeholders and bodies
  • Understanding your liquor licence
  • Best practice in managing licensed premises

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Responsible Service of Alcohol training is recommended prior to undertaking this course.
