About this course

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell and serve alcohol to satisfy the requirements of Victorian State legislation. If you are working (or looking to work ) in a licensed venue, you will need your RSA to serve and sell alcohol.

This course allows you to:



  • Recognise and professionally deal with intoxicated and underage customers
  • Gain knowledge of liquor licensing requirements
  • To sell and serve alcohol responsibly

Course delivery:

Online interactive activities and videos, followed by quizzes.
The course can be undertaken at your own pace and takes 3-6 hours to complete the online component. Once the online components are completed, you can book an on campus session with an assessor for your final practical assessment (1hour). You can expect to complete your final practical assessment within ten working days from completing your online component.

On-campus assessments are conducted Monday afternoons:


  • 21 March 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 28 March 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 2 May 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 9 May 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 16 May 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 23 May 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 30 May 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm
  • 20 June 1.30pm-2.30pm or 3.00pm-4.00pm

On successful completion you will receive two certificates

  1. Nationally Accreditted Statement of Attainment - SITHFAB002 Provide Resposible Service of Alcohol
  2. RSA certificate issued by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC). This document is needed in Victoria to provide evidence of completing the required training.
