Are you currently attending secondary school and love the idea of working with children? Then this entry-level childcare course is for you.
You will learn about the health, education and sociological aspects of childcare to prepare you for work in a range of environments. You will gain the skills to use organisational policies, procedures, and individual children's profiles, to plan activities and provide care to children. You will also learn to facilitate their leisure and play, enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. When you complete the course you may gain credit towards your VCE or VCAL.
At the completion of this VETDSS course students will gain a partial qualification only.
