About this course

Through this degree you'll begin to understand the relationship between human structural, functional and behavioural characteristics and their application in the development of, and support for, athletes and coaches to achieve success in the sporting arena. You'll also learn about the ability to develop, maintain and promote a fit and healthy lifestyle throughout the lifespan. Understand how to apply this knowledge in the assessment of physical, physiological and mechanical characteristics of sports performance, and the prescription of appropriate interventions to maintain athlete strengths and improve weaknesses. You'll become skilled in applying this knowledge in the assessment of health indicators and the prescription of exercise for apparently healthy individuals.
