Treatment planning for aesthetics in the digital world

The 2021 Melbourne ITI Education Week is aimed at dental practitioners with an interest in dental implantology and who would like to gain insights into the treatment planning for aesethics in the digital world. This online program held over the month of February, consists of four evening lecture sessions, each running for three-hour duration. Accompanying and enhancing these sessions will be video of surgical and restorative procedures as well as expanded clinical cases showing the digital workflow from start to finish.

Session 1 - "When immediate, when early and when late?"

  • New classification timing of implant placement and loading
  • Detailed case documentation, including video of surgical cases
  • Presenters: A/Professor Stephen Chen, Dr Anthony Dickinson, Professor Ivan Darby (moderator)

Session 2 - "When immediate, when early and when late?"

  • Bone grafting: simultaneous vs staged vs socket grafting
  • Detailed case documentation, including video of surgical cases
  • Presenters: A/Professor Stephen Chen, Dr Anthony Dickinson, Professor Ivan Darby (moderator)

Session 3 - "Partial and complete removable prostheses incorporating dental implants"

  • Combining implants and conventional partial removable protheses (pRDPs)
  • Patient video illustrating 'direct' pick-up.
  • Presenters: A/Professor Roy Judge, Dr Anthony Dickinson and Dr Chris Evans(moderator)

Session 4 - "Guided Surgery"

  • Why should I use it, what do I need, can I do it all the time, what can go wrong?
  • Presenters: Dr Christopher Evans and Dr Philip Tan
