About this course

The first series introduces the student to basic transthoracic echocardiography. Tutorials show how to perform a transthoracic echocardiography examination, how to assess basic haemodynamic state, how to use two-dimensional and colour flow Doppler modalities to identify significant valve disease and case study review and reporting.

Each case study contains a scenario, a series of images that comprise the case study, a report form to complete, multiple-choice assessment to test your knowledge, and a summary and model answer report to reinforce your learning.

Additional Case Interpretation Series 2-6 are available with blocks of 10 case studies in each series.

Please note: The Case Interpretation Series 2-6 are an extension of the course "TTE Introduction & Case Interpretation Series 1" and are designed for students who wish to access a wider range of cases. The Case Interpretation Series 2-6 do not include the tutorials on transthoracic echocardiography covered in Series 1. We strongly recommend starting at TTE Introduction & Case Interpretation Series 1.

This is an online course. Upon receipt of payment, the student will receive a "Getting Started" email with instructions on how to access the course materials.
