The Indigenous General Merit Undergraduate Scholarship is open for recent High School Leavers, UNSW Pre-Program Graduates and IAS Students commencing an undergraduate coursework degree program at UNSW Sydney in 2020. By applying for this scholarship, you will be considered for applicable scholarships across all Faculties including:

The Maple-Brown Family Foundation Scholarship for Indigenous Students (UGCE1151)

  • Value: $13,000 per annum
  • Duration of Program (minimum)
  • Number available: One

Faculty of Engineering Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1028)

  • Value: $12,000 per annum
  • Duration: Duration of Program (minimum)
  • Number available: One

UNSW Indigenous Undergraduate Business Scholarship (UGCE1328)

  • Value: $10,000 per annum
  • Duration: Duration of Program (minimum)
  • Number available: Ten

School of Mathematics and Statistics Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1268)

  • Value: $5,000 per annum
  • Duration: Duration of Program (minimum)
  • Number available: One

Eligibility

To be considered students must submit a scholarship online application and apply for admission to a UNSW undergraduate degree program for commencement in Term 1, 2020 (via UAC or by any other UNSW admission scheme).

Selection criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:

  • Academic merit
  • School and community leadership roles
  • Commitment to extra-curricular activities (such as music, sport, debating, leadership programs, community and volunteer work etc) and any other community roles.
