The contemporary physical and social environment is producing even greater demand for improvements in mental health and wellbeing.
With significant shortages in the mental health workforce in Australia, there is a need to look at how mental health and wellbeing is supported at the community level and in the work environment.
This program offers students the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of mental health and wellbeing; to provide skills to respond to mental health issues; and foster wellbeing in organisations and the community.
You will undertake high quality, non-accredited training in mental health and wellbeing, gaining relevant certifications, and helping to meet community demand.
Upon completion of this program, graduates may progress within their existing industries, or may take on roles specific to mental health and wellbeing including:
The National Skills Commission projects employment for the "Health and Welfare Support Workers" and "Carers and Aides" categories to increase by 137,800 positions (17.5%) by November 2026.
