• Delivered by industry-professionals and academics, UniSQ's law courses cover topics such as contracts, criminal law, dispute management, company, constitutional, and administrative law, property and trusts, civil procedure, evidence law, as well as theories of law and applied ethics in legal practice.
• The Accounting courses allows you to develop technical and professional skills in financial and management accounting, auditing, information technology, taxation and ethics.
• Your learnings in law will culminate in a capstone project that involves combining the knowledge you've acquired over the duration of the degree, in addition to improving and expanding on organisational skills, research, interpersonal skills and ethical inquiry.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Laws degree meet the educational entrance requirements of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). This provides Associate membership of CPA Australia, eligibility to study the CPA Australia professional exams and eligibility to study the CAANZ professional exams.

The Bachelor of Laws has been accredited by the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board, Queensland, and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Queensland as an approved academic qualification under the Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004 (Qld). This will partially satisfy the requirements to practise as a solicitor or barrister in Queensland, or as a legal practitioner elsewhere in Australia. Intending solicitors and barristers must also complete an approved practical legal training course to become admitted to practise law.

• As a graduate with a double degree, your career opportunities are extensive and can be as unique as your interests and goals.
• With your qualification in law, careers can include private practice solicitor or barrister, corporate legal counsel, tax manager, forensic investigator, business analyst, financial institutional lawyer, government sector employee at state or federal level or in-house positions with businesses or community organisations requiring specialist in-house legal skills.
• As a graduate of the Bachelor of Accounting, you will graduate as a qualified accountant, ready to pursue careers such as financial accountant, auditor, business advisor, CFO, management accountant, forensic accountant, and tax advisor. These roles are available across a diverse range of organisations and industries, including public and private practice, financial institutions, and government sectors.

To complete this degree students must complete 40 units.

• have never studied with UniSQ before, or
• are a Year 12 student, or
• want to transfer to UniSQ from another university.

• are a current or previous UniSQ student returning to study with complete or incomplete qualifications (excluding Head Start students), or
