Overview

Start your university studies with a Diploma of Multidisciplinary Studies if you haven't finished Year 12 or never studied before.
If you crave creativity, the Creative Arts specialisation provides the opportunity to sample music, theatre, creative media and visual arts courses.
The diploma is also designed to develop your general study skills in writing, mathematics and IT.

Further study

As a graduate of this diploma, you will be eligible to apply for direct entry into selected UniSQ undergraduate degrees or the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies. If you choose to go on to further studies, to a Bachelor of Creative Arts and Community Wellbeing, Bachelor of Film and Screen Production, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Television and Radio Production, Bachelor of Theatre, Bachelor of Visual Art, or Bachelor of Arts, the subjects that you choose could also count as credit toward your undergraduate degree.

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Further study in your chosen field can provide a pathway to your dream career.
Possible careers include visual arts officer, professional artist, arts administrator, community arts officer, gallery or museum technician and media advisor.

Course structure

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to 'subjects') are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per study period.

Once accepted into the Diploma, you will need to complete online diagnostic tests in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills to assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding.
