About this course

In today's dynamic world there is an increasing demand for professionals who understand how engineering projects and business practices align. The combined Bachelor of Engineering Honours and Bachelor of Commerce program offers extensive knowledge of your chosen engineering specialisation complemented by a strong grounding in business. You will gain technical, analytical and practical skills, understand the process of commercialisation, and learn to manage innovative projects.

In this program you can combine any of the engineering streams (Aeronautical, Biomedical, Chemical and Biomolecular, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, and Software) with studies in commerce. In addition to your engineering stream, you will complete one major and one minor in any area of commerce.

Complementing your engineering studies, the Bachelor of Commerce combines business theory with practice, giving you a solid grounding in areas such as finance, accounting, economics and business statistics. You will be exposed to real-world business cases and experiences drawn from our wide network of Australian and international business partners. The program also allows you to tailor your degree by completing at least one commerce major.

You can finish this combined degree in five years of full-time study, after which you will graduate with two qualifications.
