Background:

  • Established in 1978 through the offer of the sum of approximately $27,900 by the Trustees of the Stock Meat and Allied Industries Defence Fund, on behalf of the Council administering the funds.
  • In 1988 the terms and conditions of award of the scholarship were amended to permit it to be awarded as a grant-in-aid as the residue of the fund was not sufficient to support a scholarship

Open to: Full-time postgraduate students enrolled in the Faculty of Veterinary Science and engaged in research projects related to the stock production animals (with preference to be given to projects relating to sheep and cattle.)
