You will study a core unit that prepares you for your future career by exploring:
You will have opportunities to apply your knowledge and skills by engaging with real-world cases, strategies, and outcomes. In doing so, you will be able to identify, examine and challenge your own beliefs, and develop skills for life-long learning, both of which are essential capabilities for all health professionals.
In addition to this core learning, you will choose three units that help you meet the pre-requisite requirements for your allied health pathway of choice.
Applicants who have recently completed secondary education
- Completed the TCE (or equivalent)
Applicants with higher education study
- Completed at least one undergraduate unit (equivalent to 12.5 UTAS credit points).
Applicants with VET / TAFE study
- A completed VET Certificate III or higher
Applicants with work and life experience
If you have not successfully completed senior secondary, tertiary or TAFE/VET study, but have relevant work and life experience you can complete a personal competency statement. You may be eligible for an offer if you have work and life experiences that demonstrate a capacity to succeed in this course.

IELTS Academic minimum score of 6.5 overall with no individual band less than 6.5.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health includes 4 x 12.5 credit point units, comprising one core unit and 3 choice units.
Passes in units in other incomplete courses in this University or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the undergraduate certificate and a course plan developed to detail the units required by the student to qualify for the undergraduate Certificate. The maximum credit granted will be in accordance with the limits as stated in Admission, Enrolment and Credit Policy.
