Graduate Diploma
The Graduate Diploma in Sport Management provides a broad overview of the sport industry, and is designed to develop critical, interpretive and problem-solving skills relevant to that sector. With this in mind, the program includes subjects that develop a critical understanding of sport management across the areas of business, globalisation, governance, sport for social impact, and sport event management in both the Australian and international contexts.
The course is developed and delivered in collaboration with industry experts from the field, with each subject comprising of a mix of sport management concepts and real-world practice. Research-inspired course content is delivered by world-leading academics and industry partners, which allows students to apply an expert level of knowledge and understanding across different domains of the sport industry. It develops skill sets needed for managers to operate in the sport industry.
The Graduate Diploma in Sport Management provides authentic engagement with the world of sport, producing graduates with specific skills and attributes of interest to employers in this sector. Graduates may pursue careers in fields such as sport management, sport marketing, sport policy, sports development, sport event management, and sports administration.
All students must complete a total of 48 credit points made up of eight core subjects.
