About this course

During this course, you'll acquire the specialised knowledge needed to enforce the requirements, regulations and laws necessary for constructing residential and commercial buildings (up to three storeys).

Learning from industry professionals, you'll discover how to:

After completing the Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying CPC60121 at Victoria University Polytechnic, you'll qualify for the job title of Building Surveyor (Level 2).

Course structure

The course structure comprises the following core and elective units. These electives have been selected based on industry needs, graduate pathways and/or student and teacher feedback.

To be awarded the CPC60121 Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying, a student must successfully complete a total of 22 units of competency, comprising of:

  • 19 core units and;
  • 3 elective units, of which;
  • up to 3 units may be selected from the elective units listed below
  • up to 2 units may be selected from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma level.
