About this course

VU is Australia's leading migration-law education provider, with the longest-running program nationwide.

If you have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Migration Law, study with us for the capstone exam required to become a registered migration agent. Once you pass the external exam, you'll be able to register with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) to provide immigration assistance in Australia.

Through a combination of in-person seminars and online tutorials - delivered over an intensive period - you'll learn:

  • practical techniques for the online exam
  • skills for the 1.5-hour spoken component of the exam, including client interviews, feedback strategies, courses of action and recommendations

You'll learn from current practitioners and specialists in immigration law - as well as benefitting from the breadth of experience and knowledge brought to the course by other students. Meeting other migration specialists will help you to develop your networks as you grow into a migration-law practitioner.
