About this course

This hands-on course will teach you to prepare and apply waterproofing to internal, external and below-ground wet areas. You will learn how to assess and fix common waterproofing defects in the residential and commercial construction industry.

Course structure

To be awarded the CPC31411 Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing, a student must successfully complete a total of nineteen (19) units of competency, comprising of:

  • fourteen (14) core units, and;
  • five (5) elective units of which:
  • three (3) elective units must be selected from the CPC31411 Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing qualification, and;
  • two (2) elective units may be selected from any Certificate III or IV construction qualification or qualification in another endorsed training package.

Credit for prior study or work

You may be able to complete your qualification sooner through formal recognition of your existing skills. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

To receive RPL, we assess your previous work, education and life experiences against recognised qualifications. Applications for RPL can be made prior to enrolling.
