Course structure

To be awarded SIS50319 Diploma of Sport, a student must successfully complete a total of fourteen (14) units comprising of:

  • three (3) core units, and;
  • eleven (11) elective units, consisting of:
  • at least nine (9) units from the elective units in qualification structure, and;
  • up to two (2) elective units which can be selected from elsewhere in the SIS Training Package, or from any other current Training Package or accredited course.

Packaging Rules for each specialisation:

  • all Group A electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Sport (Coaching);

  • Coaching.

Credit for prior study or work

You may be able to complete your qualification sooner through formal recognition of your existing skills. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

To receive RPL, we assess your previous work, education and life experiences against recognised qualifications. Applications for RPL can be made prior to enrolling.
