Midwives take on a rewarding roles in antenatal, postnatal and birthing care, research, education, management and policy development.
They can also be self-employed, find work in public and private hospitals, or work in caseload midwifery programs and group midwifery practice.
Midwifery is the art and science of providing holistic care to women and their families throughout pregnancy and birth.
Policy development involves researching, compiling and analysing a range of facts that relate to the benefit of society. It involves working with a range of government agencies and community groups to pinpoint relevant solutions.
