Mathematics requirement
This major requires a certain level of Mathematics. If you do not meet this level, you may be able to take additional Mathematics units in your first year to satisfy this requirement.
Students with above average grades are encouraged to undertake a fourth year of advanced study in their specialised stream, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Agribusiness with Honours.

A candidate shall have:
(a)
either
fulfilled the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Agribusiness
or
the Bachelor of Business with a major in Agribusiness,
or
an equivalent AQF Level 7 award as determined by the school;
and
(b) completed units to the value of at least 36 credit points at 300 level in the discipline;
and
(c) passed units to the value of at least 36 credit points at 200 level or above with a GPA of 5 (Credit) or better in the discipline.
The Diploma of Horticulture reflects the role of those who manage amenity horticultural enterprises where a range of skills and knowledge across the breadth of the industry is required or personnel working in horticulture at a level requiring higher technical skills.

To be successful in this course you will need the skills and experience achieved in the Certificate III in Horticulture, or a related field. This could be gained through study or industry experience. CIT may request a short discussion about your skills and experience in horticulture following your application to enrol.
