To gain entry into SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness, candidates require:

• Access to a Fitness facility supervised by qualified trainers (paid or volunteer).

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

A pre-enrolment induction will be conducted, and students will be required to complete a learner support indicator to determine any learner support requirements. Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 70*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate IV level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma with a GPA of at least 5.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 147.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program or the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses or a recognised enabling course of at least 12 months duration.

* After any applicable adjustment factors have been applied.

Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake a course at this level. Students will also need the required PPE (safety boots, safety glasses, gloves).

To gain entry into MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, candidates require:

• To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT.

To gain entry into SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality, candidates must:

• Be 15 years of age or above
• Be working in industry in Palmerston and Alice Springs local region with some industry experience

• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
• Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
  ~Air Force: Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman
  ~Army: Corporal, Lance Corporal, Private
  ~Navy: Able Seaman, Leading Seaman, Seaman
• Current School Leaver Pathways:
  ~Best of 3 Year 12 subject grades
  ~School recommendation program

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although a basic level of Math and English is required.

All students will need to complete a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment to show that they have an appropriate level of LLN skills to participate successfully in the course and to identify any support needs.

• Successful completion of a national qualification at Diploma level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree with a GPA of 5.5 and above.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 180.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation courses.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:

~Air Force: Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman
~Army: Corporal, Lance Corporal, Private
~Navy: Able Seaman, Leading Seaman

To gain entry into SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing as an Apprentice, candidates require:

• To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT

Students can undertake this course as non-Apprentices at the Palmerston campus, the fulltime course program is designed for applicants over the age of 21.

The Training Salon is a simulated work environment, students must wear work clothing suited to the industry.

Female uniforms

Black tops are required and can be purchased from the Hairdressing reception. Black tops are to be worn with black pants. No tights, no shorts or ripped jeans. Price of black $35.00.

Black t-shirts are required and can be purchased from the hairdressing reception. Black t-shirts are to be worn with black pants. No tights, no shorts or ripped jeans. Price of black t-shirt $35.00.

ALL students must attend class in closed in shoes.

Toolkit information will be provided to you at the information session, prices start from approximately $500.
