Chisholm Institute Courses

Applicants will need to complete an assessment of their literacy and numeracy skills to identify any support needs and undertake a PTR to confirm their appropriateness for the course.

Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 3 - working level 4, for both literacy and numeracy, Students need a valid Working with Children Check, a national police check, immunisations to undertake practical placement and a NDIS Worker Screening Check., Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, students need to be at a minimum age of 18 to complete the course

applicants must be 16 years and over (unless special exemption is approved), complete a mandatory interview, Complete the BKSB and must obtain ACSF exit level 2 in both literacy and numeracy, have completed a minimum of year 11 or equivalent, have parental agreement for students under 18 years of age, students to satisfy eligibility criteria if the candidate wishes to access government funding (VTG, VET Student Loans etc) or student visa application requirements including genuine student requirements

Entry requirements are ACSF exit level 1 - working level 2 for both literacy and numeracy

All applicants are required to attend an interview and must have completed Year 10 (or equivalent) to enrol into Year 11 VCE or, have completed Year 11 VCE to enrol into Year 12 VCE, Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of course commencement and have completed a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy, Students who are aged under 17 years require a completed Transition from School form from their school

All applicants are required to have completed Year 10 and attend an interview., Students aged under 17 require a completed Transition from School form from their school.

Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, It is recommended school leaver students complete the pre-apprenticeship pathway (Certificate II) prior to enrolling, or complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2, working level 3
