Year 10 level of maths and english preferred

All students must be 16 years old on the 1st February of the commencing year, Attend an information session, have a demonstrated capacity in oracy to level 3 and learning ,reading ,writing and numeracy to level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), Working with Children (volunteer) check required, Year 10 Maths and English is recommended. All students are required to attend a compulsory information session before their applications are to be accepted.

All students must complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Please note: students need a Valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) and a clear national police check, Trainees must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer

Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, It is recommended school leaver students complete the pre-apprenticeship pathway (Certificate II) prior to enrolling, or complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2, working level 3, Please note: students will be required to undertake manual handling, including heavy lifting of up to 8kg, use kitchen tools and utensils and be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hour blocks

Applicants who are under 18 years of age must have parental approval and complete a selection interview to determine suitable maturity to undertake the course requirements, Completion of a pre-training assessment for English language and literacy skills is also required, Students who are aged under 17 years require a completed Transition from School form from their school
