Masters (Coursework)
Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and must be registered nurses. Applicants for this pathway will be required to provide a brief statement indicating the area of research they would be interested in undertaking. Research projects are negotiated after admission to the course and are subject to approval and the Universityâs ability to provide suitable research supervision to students based on their proposed research topic.
Applicants must normally hold a Bachelor of Paramedic Science from Flinders University or equivalent qualification.
Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent in mathematics or statistics or a closely related discipline from an approved institution. Applicants with an approved degree that contains substantial mathematics or statistics (equivalent to at least second-year level mathematics topics at Flinders) are also eligible to apply. The Master of Science is not available to students who hold an honours degree in the same discipline.
Applicants must hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent with a major in chemistry or a closely related discipline from an approved tertiary institution. The Master of Science is not available to students who hold an honours degree in the same discipline.
Graduate Diploma
Graduate diploma applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved, recognised tertiary institution.
Masters
Masters has two levels of entry into the program. A two-year, 72-unit program is available to applicants with an approved bachelor degree. The one-year program offers a 36-unit program to applicants who have completed one of the following: an honours degree in womenâs/ gender studies, a four-year bachelor degree in womenâs/gender studies, a Graduate Diploma in Gender and Development, or an approved equivalent.
Applicants must hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, ICT-based engineering or a closely related discipline from an approved tertiary institution.
Applicants with an approved degree in behavioural science or psychology, which includes a major in artificial intelligence or computer science, will also be considered.
The Master of Science is not available to students who hold an Honours degree in the same discipline.
Graduate Certificate
Applicants must normally hold a midwifery degree or an equivalent qualification, be registered midwives, and hold a current practising certificate.
Applicants must normally hold a nursing degree or equivalent qualification, be registered nurses, and have a minimum of one yearâs post-registration experience.
Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification, and be registered nurses.
Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Archaeology must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Archaeology and Heritage Management must normally hold an approved bachelor degree from an approved tertiary institution.
Applicants for the Master of Archaeology and Heritage Management will qualify for either the 2-year or 1.5-year program.
Applicants who hold: an approved bachelor degree in any discipline; an honours degree in any discipline; or a graduate certificate or graduate diploma in archaeology, heritage studies, or a related discipline, are eligible for the basic level entry, and will complete up to 72 units of study. Applicants who hold a bachelor degree or honours degree in archaeology, heritage management or a closely related discipline are eligible for the 1.5-year program, and will complete up to 54 units of study. Selection is based on academic merit with an above credit average required.
Applicants for the graduate certificate must normally hold a degree in any relevant discipline of science or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution. The Graduate Certificate in Science (Aquaculture) is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture), Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) (Honours), or equivalent.
Applicants for the graduate diploma must normally hold the Graduate Certificate in Science (Aquaculture) or a degree in any relevant discipline of science or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
The Graduate Diploma in Science (Aquaculture) is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture), Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) (Honours), or equivalent.
Applicants for the masters must normally hold the Graduate Diploma in Science (Aquaculture) or a degree in any relevant discipline of science or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
The Master of Science (Aquaculture) is not available to graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture), Bachelor of Science (Aquaculture) (Honours), or equivalent. However, a bachelor degree in aquaculture from an overseas university will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
