Prior OP students: Applicants who graduated with an OP in or before 2019 can apply to Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) for an ATAR statement. For more information visit qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/australian-tertiary-admission-rank-atar.
This program is not available to applicants who hold a qualification in Nursing acceptable for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Trimester 1 intake is available for:
- Standard program
- OR graduates of the Diploma of Health Care from Griffith College (Diploma of Health Care pathway)
- OR graduates of the Diploma of Nursing from an accredited Australian Education Provider with unconditional registration (without restrictions) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Note that registration under the AHPRA Pandemic Response Sub Register is not accepted. (Diploma of Nursing pathway)*Note: for Logan campus only in Trimester 1 2023.
- OR an Internationally Qualified Nurse who provides documentary evidence with their application (Internationally Qualified Nurses pathway)^
Trimester 2 intake is available for:
graduates of the Diploma of Health Care from Griffith College (Diploma of Health Care pathway) OR graduates of the Diploma of Nursing from an accredited Australian Education Provider with unconditional registration (without restrictions) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). (Diploma of Nursing pathway)* OR an Internationally Qualified Nurse who provides documentary evidence with their application (Internationally Qualified Nurses pathway)^ ^Internationally Qualified Nurses must demonstrate recency of practice (within a period of five years) and have unconditional registration where they are working as a Registered Nurse. Note: We follow Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) guidelines regarding recency of practice. Applicants must have a minimum of 450 hours accumulated over the past five years. The hours do not need to be continuous.
