You will gain the foundation theories and practices to develop, deliver and evaluate community engagement projects.
This online skill set touches on the key principles of community engagement. It introduces key skills required to deliver best practice community engagement projects, including stakeholder research and analysis, engagement planning, group facilitation and project evaluation. Strongly influenced by current industry trends, this skill set encourages participants to reflect on their own practice, trial new approaches and stretch their capabilities through the introduction of best practice methods.
This online course has been developed by those in industry, for industry. The course structure and content has been designed to suit those working full-time or part-time in a community engagement role or in a role that seeks community involvement in decisions regarding projects/programs/initiatives.
Participants may work across a range of social, environmental, health, recreation, arts and culture sectors; within or for government, not-for-profit or private organisations.
Successfully completing this skill set gives you the opportunity to further your studies by enrolling in the Certificate IV in Community Development or the Diploma of Community Development, you can discuss this with your lecturers.
