If you are an Enrolled Nurse who is currently working in a health care environment, you can gain the skills required to administer medicines and intravenous therapy by completing the nationally accredited unit, HLTENN040 Administer and monitor medicines and intravenous therapy.

You will cover all aspects of medication administration including a variety of methods; oral, otic, ocular, topical, rectal, vaginal, enteral, subcutaneous (subcut), intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) injection and infusion via a PIVC and blood and blood products, amongst others.

The skill set consists of four x mandatory on campus workshops, online theory delivered in conjunction with your workplace experience and study in your own time.

Any registered enrolled nurse who is currently practising may enrol in this skill set - there are no prerequisites. You will be taught by skilled lectures who are available to support you through your online learning.
