About this course

Gain the skills to configure and use a basic robotic system

You'll gain the knowledge and skills needed to configure and program a basic robotic system, including typical tasks for robotics system operation like pick and place, motion range and object recognition. You'll also explore the applications and operation of the Internet of Things (IoT) including Bluetooth, Wireless and saving and retrieving data from a cloud based website.

Your knowledge of code development will cover testing code and producing code to control DC motors, Servo motors and Stepper motors for robotics systems using the Arduino platform. Use and test the Universal Robots UR5e robot arm, a smaller version of the widely used industry standard UR16e.

You'll be guided through building and programming a small 6 axis robot arm using Python language.
