This entry level qualification is designed to prepare you for the mining industry. The course will focus on the three key areas of developing problem solving skills, informative communication techniques and working effectively with others.
You will learn how to formulate a resume so you stand out in a crowd. We will introduce you to our simulated underground CUT mine and cover key safety aspects of working on a mine site. You will learn from experienced lectures what it's like to be a FIFO worker, and how to manage the change, working away from home.
You must be a local student and 18 years or over to enrol in this course.
This mining skill set is run over four days, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
