Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy

Through this course you'll develop advanced techniques to treat myofascial, joint and neuropathic pain from the nervous system.

You'll increase your skills with treatment methods, including deep tissue modalities, myofascial techniques, trigger-point therapy, dynamic cupping, dry needling, neurodynamic mobilisation, prescriptive and rehabilitation exercises, joint mobilisation, and pain management techniques.

With a focus on practical applications, you will enhance your client consultation practices, develop preventive management plans, and use evidence-based treatment protocols.

At RMIT's teaching clinic, you'll be able to apply your practical skills and learn advanced business techniques needed to manage staff and run your own practice.

You will also have the opportunity to undertake a placement with one of RMIT's industry partners.

The Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy is tailored to provide the specific knowledge and practical skills to train you as an accredited myotherapist.

As a qualified myotherapist, you may:

• lead a multi-disciplinary practice as part of a team
• work in hospitals, aged care facilities, and other health organisations
• be self-employed in private practice as an independent myotherapist

There are also opportunities in education, community health care services, social welfare, sales and health retreats.
