Learn how to establish, operate and maintain an accounting system for small business entities, evaluate and implement business technologies, and manage day-to-day business activities. You will undertake structured learning activities and authentic assessments within a Practice Firm environment, designed to simulates real-world work experiences.
Current Year 12: Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent; or the Australian Senior VCAL Certificate.
This program does not select on ATAR.
Non Year 12: Completion of post-secondary studies or at least 6 months' work experience.
As a graduate of this course, you're well positioned to seek employment in accounting and bookkeeping roles, or to pursue further education, including the Diploma of Accounting and Advanced Diploma of Accounting. You might even decide to open and manage your own small bookkeeping business.
On successful completion of this course, you will meet the minimum educational requirements to register as a BAS agent within Australia as prescribed by the Tax Practitioners Board under the Tax Agent Services Act (2009).
