Entry requirements

Applicants must:

  • have successfully completed the HLT35015 Certificate III in Dental Assisting; and
  • be currently employed by a dental practice as a dental assistant, and be supported by the dental practice for the duration of the program

It is also recommended that you have good communications skills and computer literacy.

Dental assistants who complete the Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Radiography) will develop advanced chair-side support to dental professionals in both private and public dental health practices. Graduates of this course play an essential part of dental health teams, and will be qualified to take clinical dental photographs, and licensed to create intra-and extra-oral radiographs.
