.When you complete the Certificate II in Aeroskills you open the door to a career in aviation maintenance, working on the advanced technology that flies 8 million people across the world every day, and is a great pathway into an apprenticeship and a Certificate IV in Aeroskills.
The Certificate II in Aeroskills course is designed to deliver both theoretical and practical knowledge enabling you to gain a solid foundation of both the knowledge and skills required to enter into an aviation maintenance career.
In the workshop, you will learn both manufacturing hand skills and the basic skills relating to the inspection and maintenance of various aircraft components.
Aerospace Training CentreSouth Metro TAFE's AeroSpace Training Centre is the largest provider in WA offering training in aircraft maintenance and aviation. Our lecturers have diverse industry backgrounds including international licensed aircraft maintenance engineers, airline transport pilots, airport managers, flight instructors, cabin crew training managers, emergency procedures instructors, RAAF maintenance supervisors, as well as military and commercial aviators and managers.
The fully equipped hangar of the AeroSpace Training Centre at Jandakot Airport has various aircraft engines, workshop stations, computer facilities, a flight simulator, and a number of aircraft including our own Boeing 737.
