Study in specialised facilities:

Our dedicated Murdoch Student Garden Centre

(opens in a new tab)
is pivotal to the learning experience for students and teaches excellence in service delivery. Facilities include extensive garden spaces for design practice, computer labs with contemporary software and dedicated sheltered nursery areas. Students can learn through application of hands-on skills in an environment that reflects current industry practices and simulates a real-life workplace experience.

As part of their Murdoch campus studies, students propagate natives, herbs and some exotic plants suitable to WA's climate. These plants are then prepared at the on-campus nursery and greenhouse for retail sales at the Student Garden Centre Plant Sale which is open to the general public for a short time each May and November, giving students the ability to satisfy the retail skill building requirements of their horticulture course.
